Symposium on Current Approaches in Urinary Incontinence was held on 22-23 June 2019 in cooperation with Ankara University Faculty of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Turkish Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Association.

Emmanuel Delorme, who made Transobturator tape (TOT) method, which is the most preferred method in women with stress urinary incontinence complaints at the Symposium held at the 50th Anniversary Amphitheater of Cebeci Hospital, Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, also participated and shared his experiences with the participants.

We organized a comprehensive meeting consisting three courses about “Clinical evaluation in urinary incontinence”, “Physiotherapy and rehabilitation in urinary incontinence” and “Anti-incontinence surgery”, one panel about “Controversial issues in the management of urinary incontinence” and a live surgery session.

Dear Colleugues,
We are honored to announce you to the “Symposium on Current Approaches in Urinary Incontinence” which will be held between 22 – 23 June 2019 at Ankara University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology with the support of Turkish Urogynecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery Society (TUPRA).

After the meetings we held three times in 2010, 2013 and 2015, we aimed to create a scientific program that focuses on urinary incontinence, specifically different diagnosis and management options. We planned a comprehensive meeting consisting three courses about “Clinical evaluation in urinary incontinence”, “Physiotherapy and rehabilitation in urinary incontinence” and “Anti-incontinence surgery”, one panel about “Controversial issues in the management of urinary incontinence” and a live surgery session. We also invited Emmanuel Delorme, the inventor of the TOT operation, which is very important in the surgical treatment of urinary incontinence.

Unlike other years, this year, we will organize a meeting focusing on specifically the problem of urinary incontinence in women in order to address this issue with different dimensions and current developments. We emphasize our belief that this meeting will be very beneficial for all participants and that we will be pleased to see you among us.

Official language of symposium is Turkish. There will be simultaneous translation in English during the symposium.
